Nepal English and Cultural Immersion Experience Study Tour

– The team will be led by an Assistant Professor in Tourism and Cultural Studies (official tour guide).

– Stay with a Nepalese host family to personally experience the daily life, traditions, and customs of a real Nepalese family.

– Immerse in the local culture and learn Nepalese folk songs and dances.

– Communicate and interact with the English-speaking host family, practicing English in daily life.

– Attend school with local students to promote cultural exchange.

Itinerary

Day 1Hong Kong > Arrive in Kathmandu, stay at a hotel in Thamel

Day 2Half-day sightseeing (Swayambhu, Patan), then fly to Pokhara, proceed to selected homestay (in Pokhara 22 Kalabang Ghaderi), and select participants' research topics

Day 3Field visit at the homestay to observe local life

Day 4Full-day observation of cultural practices at the homestay

Day 5Visit local school (Bhagawati Basic School) as a student/English tutor

Day 6Revisit the same local school as a student/English tutor

Day 7Farewell activities hosted by the school for the guests

Day 8Write reports, give presentations and bid farewell at Kalabang Ghaderi homestay, then return to Kathmandu, stay at a hotel in Thamel

Day 9Full-day sightseeing (Pashupati, Baudha, Bhaktapur)

Day 10Farewell Kathmandu, transfer to the airport
