Itinerary

Day 1Hong Kong > Arrival in Yinchuan

Accommodation: Sheraton Yinchuan or equivalent

Itinerary Details:

Guests arrive at Yinchuan Hedong Airport on their own, with one scheduled group pickup. Yinchuan, the “Pearl of the Northwest,” combines the bold charm of the northwest frontier with the gentle allure of江南 (southern China) water towns. Nestled against the majestic Helan Mountain and beside the flowing Yellow River, Yinchuan welcomes you. After pickup, check in at the hotel for rest.

Day 2Yinchuan: Shahu Lake (including boat ride), Longyu Winery (2 wine tastings + 1 small bottle of brandy), Xiguan Folk Garden, Lanshan Park

Accommodation: Sheraton Yinchuan or equivalent

Itinerary Details:

After breakfast, visit Shahu Lake (including boat ride and Wetland Museum), one of China’s top ten charming leisure lakes. This natural scenic spot blends “golden sands, clear waters, green reeds, migratory birds, distant mountains, and colorful lotuses,” creating a poetic and captivating landscape where sand and water meet, and reeds and birds coexist.

Next, head to Longyu Winery (2 wine tastings + 1 small bottle of brandy). Established in 2012, Longyu has become a globally recognized name, featured in prestigious wine shops and restaurants. The name “Longyu” (“Dragon” symbolizing Chinese heritage and “Yu” meaning to inform the world) reflects its mission to showcase China’s world-class wines.

Then, visit Xiguan Folk Garden, located along the scenic Tanglai Canal. This tranquil oasis in the bustling city is one of Ningxia’s oldest and most culturally significant Hui Muslim mosques, built in 1687. If timed right, witness the Hui community’s prayer led by the imam, experiencing the serene and mystical “Bangke” chant.

Finally, explore Lanshan Park, featuring an open-air theater styled like a Roman Colosseum, ideal for viewing sunrises and sunsets. From the theater, enjoy panoramic views of the Ningxia Plain under blue skies and white clouds.

Return to the hotel for rest.

Day 3Yinchuan: Xixia Tombs (including shuttle, Xixia Museum, 3D movie), Chandon Ningxia Winery (3 wine tastings), Zhihui Yuanshi Winery (3 wine tastings), Huaiyuan Night Market

Accommodation: Sheraton Yinchuan or equivalent

Itinerary Details:

After breakfast, visit the Xixia Tombs (including shuttle, Xixia Museum, and 3D movie), the royal burial site of the Xixia Dynasty. Located west of Yinchuan, nestled between Helan Mountain and the Yinchuan Plain, it is one of China’s largest and best-preserved imperial cemeteries, known as the “Oriental Pyramids” for its unique blend of Qin-Han, Tang-Song, and Buddhist architectural influences.

Next, visit Chandon Ningxia Winery (3 wine tastings), part of the French Moët Hennessy group under LVMH. As one of only six global Domaine Chandon wineries, it specializes in producing premium sparkling wines, making it Ningxia’s only dedicated sparkling wine estate.

Then, proceed to Zhihui Yuanshi Winery (3 wine tastings), built in 2008 on a reclaimed gravel mine. Embracing the philosophy of “harmony between man and nature,” this winery features Han Dynasty-style architecture, transforming discarded materials into a serene, garden-like estate that embodies Chinese aesthetic elegance.

Conclude the day at Huaiyuan Night Market, soaking in the vibrant local atmosphere. Return to the hotel for rest.

Day 4Yinchuan: Helan Mountain Rock Paintings (including shuttle), Yinong Winery (6 wine tastings), Silver Heights Winery (3 wine tastings), exterior view of Drum Tower and Yuhuang Pavilion, Ziqiang Lane city walk

Accommodation: Sheraton Yinchuan or equivalent

Itinerary Details:

After breakfast, visit Helan Mountain Rock Paintings (including shuttle), an artistic gallery of China’s nomadic tribes. These carvings, dating from 3,000 to 10,000 years ago, depict herding, hunting, and sacrificial scenes, offering insights into ancient human culture, totem worship, and primitive art.

Next, head to Yinong Winery (6 wine tastings), located in the Helan Jinshan International Grape Industry Zone. Inspired by the poetic idea of “living poetically on earth,” this winery blends northwest desert charm with serene elegance, offering a tranquil and refined atmosphere.

Then, visit Silver Heights Winery (3 wine tastings), known for its French-influenced traditional winemaking. In 2011, its wines were selected by top hotels like Shangri-La and Marriott, establishing its reputation in the luxury market.

Later, view the exterior of the Drum Tower and Yuhuang Pavilion and enjoy a Ziqiang Lane city walk, immersing in Yinchuan’s blend of history and modernity.

Return to the hotel for rest.

Day 5Yinchuan airport transfer

Accommodation: Return Home

Itinerary Details:

After breakfast, transfer to Yinchuan Airport based on flight schedules, concluding the journey.

Friendly Reminder: The northwest region is dry; drink plenty of water, eat fruits, and avoid excessive alcohol. Bring long-sleeved clothing, jackets, hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen due to significant temperature changes.
